Shanghai Record Pharmaceuticals
Company (Record) is a high-tech Enterprise
with laboratories (30 labs) located in
Shanghai and a staff over over 60 scientists.
Record focuses on the R&D, scale-up and
commercial manufacture of pharmaceutical
intermediates, fine chemicals and
pharmaceutical APIs. It was established by a
returned scholar from the USA, Dr. Zhang
Fangjiang with a doctor's degree at
Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry
affiliated to Chinese Academy of Sciences,
and a postdoctor's degree at Pennsylvania
State University. He has successfully
recruited a core team of additional returned
scholars to build an exceptional research
focused team.

Record's key technologies include
fluorination, bromination, hydrogenation,
Grignard reactions and asymmetric reaction.
Since Record's establishment, we have
successfully exploited many products with
our advanced technology and rich
experience in R&D, such as Aztreonam,
Ticarcillin, Cilostazol and Idebenone , most
of which have been put into commercial
production. The company has succesfully
passed ISO9001 and Shanghai High-tech
Enterprise authentication. And has
developed coopererations with Merck,
Pfizer as well as other large pharmaceutical
companies.

Record understands that people are its key
capital asset. Record has an excellent R&D
team made up of energetic people with high
degrees, rich experience, and strong
teamwork spirit, including three people with
a postdoctor's degree, three with a doctor's
degree, and more than 92% of the staff with
at least bachelor's degree. The average age
of Record is less than 36. Many technicians
in the company have at least ten year's
experience in the R&D of over 200 research
projects and have accumulated plenty of
experience in the R&D of products and
organic synthesis. Senior management of
Record is mainly composed of young and
middle-aged returned scholars, who have
either furthered their study or taken part in
research work in famous universities of
home and abroad.
